A Pair of Reclaimed Chairs in the "Deconstructed" Look

Those who are familiar with our new retail space Stēl House + Home know we've been blending in our fair share of reclaimed or repurposed pieces!

Our Interior Designer Kristin Rieke’s latest project was a pair of arm chairs! The chairs were salvaged in Colorado, stripped of their fabric, foam and staples leaving only the beautiful alder wood frame. Rieke had the chair frames finished in a medium brown wood stain and upholstered in a rich gold linen and burlap!

However these were not done in “typical” upholstery style, we refer to them as a “deconstructed look” which focuses on the chair itself not the fabric or finish! The burlap and upholstery tacks lend itself to a raw authentic look!

If you love these chairs or have a couch or chair in need of reclaiming, contact Kristin Rieke, Interior Designer at Vertical Arts Architecture and Retail Designer for Stēl House + Home in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.
