Building Small Spaces at the Victoria and Albert Museum
The Victoria & Albert Museum in London is one of the leading museums in the world for art and design. Going on now through August 30, 2010, the V&A will be displaying the work of seven architects from around the world. These design structures will be housed on the premises of the museum and built at full-scale. They will examine the following themes: play, work, performance and study.
The lone American design is that of Rural Studio from Newbern, Alabama. The Rural Studio is an architectural education program and part of Auburn University. They provide affordable housing for rural Western Alabama communities. Below is a look at their design.
