Tonight, December 19th, PBS American Masters explores one of the most influential designers of our time, Charles and Ray Eames, who also happened to be married to each other. Charles & Ray Eames: The Architect and the Painter premieres tonight from 10-11:30 p.m. (ET/PT) on PBS (check local listings) as the 25th anniversary season finale of American Masters.

Producers Jason Cohn and Bill Jersey take a look into the private lives of the Eameses and their revolutionizing home furnishings. The film, narrated by James Franco, includes remarks from Charles’ daughter Lucia; grandson Eames Demetrios; filmmaker Paul Schrader; TED founder Richard Saul Wurman; architect Kevin Roche; Eames Office employees; and design historians.
