Don't Miss the 2010 AIA National Convention next month
The 2010 American Institute of Architects (AIA) National Convention will take place in Miami on June 10-12. According to AIA, “The 2010 Convention theme, Design for the New Decade, will highlight, for architects and for others, how design, knowledge, vision, and leadership are essential in making a lasting, positive future in creating buildings and cities across the globe.”
Distinguished keynote speakers will share their knowledge, experience, and wisdom about a variety of topics related to design.
AIA also says, “To raise awareness and to do our part, the AIA is offering many opportunities to incorporate environmentally sustainable principles into the planning of the AIA 2010 convention in Miami. Recently cited as one of the greenest meetings in North America by the Green Meetings Industry Council, the AIA convention green principles have been coordinated with vendors, hoteliers, convention center staff, and all service providers. You’ll notice more positive changes in the way the exhibitors do business, how education sessions have gone paperless, and how the convention center operates. AIA, in partnership with our sponsors, will offset 100 percent of the convention CO2 emissions. We are driven to reduce waste and energy consumption, to maximize efficiency, and to recycle at every opportunity.”
