Employee Spotlight— Brandt Vanderbosch, Founder & CEO

Vertical Arts Architecture has gained a national reputation for creativity in architecture, landscape and interior design. We’ve also been recognized as a top-performing business, thanks to the culture of excellence that Brandt Vanderbosch established when he set out on his own and founded VAA in 2004. His unwavering respect, care and concern for clients and coworkers can be seen in every aspect of the firm, in the attitudes of our employees, in our client relationships, and in the integrity of our partnerships.

Brandt grew an appreciation for architecture and design during his nine years in the construction industry. He earned his Associates degree in Architecture Technology from Ferris State University in Michigan, and dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Environmental Design and Architecture at Ball State University in Indiana.

Prior to founding Vertical Arts, Brandt served as a project manager on custom residential and commercial projects throughout the Vail Valley, as well as starting up a satellite office for Charles Cunniffe Architects in Steamboat Springs. Since then, he’s raised his family – wife Kelly and their three boys Beck, Cohen and Cruz – and built his business around our town’s natural beauty, and with an appreciation for the environment, lifestyle, and the great people that are attracted here and call it home.

Clients come to Brandt looking to build their dream home, and are always pleased to gain a friend along the way as they work with the Vertical Arts team in achieving their goals. That’s what all our clients can expect with the individualized service and dedication that Brandt ensures with every project.

From staying within budget, to coordinating with contractors, to working within VAA’s unique Envisioning™ discovery and planning process, Brandt leads the way in staying focused on our top priority: turning our clients design vision into reality.
