Nelson Carmichael, Steamboat Springs hometown legend and Olympic medalist wanted to create a unique home that brought the outside in. The site has amazing views of the ski mountain as well as a seasonal stream that runs through during the winter runoff. Vertical Arts helped Carmichael create a courtyard home that opens itself to the outdoors through a large window wall and private courtyard living space. The main living rooms were moved to the second floor to create better views and more privacy from the street below.
