The bus shelters, which can be seen on 3rd, 5th, 7th, 9th, and 11th street in downtown Steamboat Springs, are constructed of clear-coated steel with glass panels and wooden benches. They are intended to reflect Northwest Colorado’s historic architecture and materials found in bridges and railroad tracks. In 2012, the shelters were awarded the Governor’s Award for “Best Public Space Project” by Downtown Colorado, Inc.
