This spec house was designed as a modern-style timber frame home with an open feel, practical floor plan, and plenty of comfortable living space without feeling cavernous. The exterior has an earthy appearance with rusted steel panels accenting reclaimed barn wood siding and tumbled stone. Inside, the tall stone fireplace, exposed Douglas fir beams and an open ceiling give the home a distinct Rocky mountain feel. The owners also enjoy the wine room with glass door and gallery-like stone wall glazed with special lighting for showcasing art.
