Rollingstone Village Gains Entitlement

Rollingstone Village Gains Entitlement

After working on Rollingstone Village for over a year, Vertical Arts is proud to have gained entitlement on the project. A mixed use development just off South Lincoln Avenue in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, Rollingstone Village is owned and being developed by Peter & Kim Kreissig of K&K Builders. The project is sited on a beautiful lot with an amazing number of large evergreens.

Vertical Arts worked closely with multiple experts to design the ecologically sensitive site in a way that maintains the natural character of the lot, while also preserving as many trees as possible. Simple architectural forms and mix of contemporary and rustic materials define the project.

Via the entitlement process, the project gained city planning staff approval, planning commission approval, and city council approval. During the process, we received a tremendous amount of positive feedback, including a comment from one council member, who remarked that Rollingstone was an ideal project for the needs of Steamboat Springs.

Totaling 100,687 sq ft, the Rollingstone Village is comprised of 6 buildings. Two of those buildings are historically significant, one of which was integrated into a new spa building. There is a mix of high end and affordable housing units, with plans also including commercial space, restaurants, coffee shop, and spa.

We are very proud to have been part of this process, and thank K & K Builders for selecting us to design this exciting architectural project.
