The Youth of America is Leading the Green Way
It might be the oldest school in America, but Boston Latin School is showing the rest of the country just how young and innovative they are when it comes to going green. After seeing Al Gore’s An Inconvenient Truth, a group of students lobbied the Boston Latin School’s administration to implement a green roof concept idea. The students formed BLS YouthCAN (Climate Action Network) and are raising funds for the $5 million project. Studio G Architects of Boston donated their design services and are creating a variety of learning opportunities as well as a way to decrease the school’s carbon footprint for BLS.
