Tour the 2011 New American Home
Thousands of professionals from the residential building industry have descended upon Orlando, Fla., this week for the 2011 International Builders Show sponsored by the National Association of Home Builders. It’s the industry’s largest annual trade show, with more than 1,200 exhibitors, networking and learning opportunities, and, of course, fantastic giveaways.
One of the highlights each year is the New American Home project, in which contractors, suppliers, and designers collaborate to create a home that displays the latest advancements in materials, design, and construction. This year’s New American Home in Orlando is a grand eco-conscious residence that “integrates state-of-the-art technology in an American Empire design with Greek Revival elements and combines an inviting layout with elegant style, eccentric interiors and easy classicism,” according to the NAHB.
