Vertical Arts Designs New Bus Shelters for Steamboat Springs
We have designed nine new bus shelters to be installed this Fall along Lincoln Avenue in downtown Steamboat Springs. Katy Vaughn, our project designer, told Steamboat Today that these shelters are supposed to reflect Northwest Colorado’s historic architecture.
The materials used in the construction of these shelters are clear-coated steel with glass panels and wooden benches. City Public Works Director Philo Shelton told Steamboat Today that they “thought it was very important in this economy to try to involve local designers, local builders and local installers.
Tracy Barnett, of Mainstreet Steamboat Springs, applauded the result, which she said would funnel federal grant dollars to local fabricators and installers.”
What you think of our design?
A special thanks to Mike Lawrence with Steamboat Today for the article about our Bus Shelters!
