Vertical Arts introduces Emeco to our retail line

One of the reason that we brought Emeco to our retail line is that their chairs are handmade from 80% recycled aluminum.  It is said that when founder Wilton Dinges, tossed a 1006 Navy Chair out of a 60 story building to test the durability of his product that the people on the street below were surprised to see that the chair survived the fall with just a few scratches. Today, over 60 years later, Emeco is still putting their chairs through the same rigorous testing process to make sure they can stand the test of time. Needless to say these chairs are designed to last for 150 year, now that’s what we call sustainability.

Emeco’s 111 Navy Chair is a result of a special partnership between Emeco and The Coca-Cola Company. Taking sustainability one step further than producing long lasting chairs, Emeco teamed with Coke to create a chair made from 111 recycled Coke bottles.

“When you recycle a plastic bottle, you’re doing something good. When you recycle 111 of them, you’re doing something great. Help your bottle become something extraordinary again.”

Come see our Emeco line here at Vertical Arts.
