Yves Saint Laurent Heads to Colorado
Denver goes couture as the popular Yves Saint Laurent Retrospective exhibit heads to the Denver Art Museum. The New York Times asks “why Denver?” and is brilliantly answered by Pierre Bergé, Saint Laurent’s longtime partner and the head of the designer’s foundation, “America isn’t just New York or Los Angeles or Chicago or Boston…Besides, Denver asked me. Voilà!”
Yves Saint Laurent: The Retrospective takes a look at the famed designer’s career, which spanned 40 years. The Denver Art Museum describes the exhibit as “a stunning selection of 200 haute couture garments along with numerous photographs, drawings, and films that illustrate the development of Saint Laurent’s style and the historical foundations of his work.”
The exhibit opened March 25th and will run through July 8th so if you’re planning a trip in to Denver don’t miss it!
