This lakeside home needed new life after being stuck in a hodgepodge of rustic features, mismatched finishes and separate small spaces. The Vertical Arts team created function, flow and creativity inspired by the family’s playful style while maintaining a connection to the mountains.
The modern white walls and varying-width plank reclaimed oak floors are surrounded by a smart use of texture and materials that achieve an earthy modern vibe. Soft, woven fabrics and pillows are complemented by the sleek metal nightstand, desk, end table and lamp.
The interior design team created a stunning custom mosaic of a family member wake surfing on the nearby lake, driving home the importance of a personalized touch to a modern mountain lakeside style.
Upstairs the team expanded the bathroom and upgraded finishes with the goal of making the guest suites more beautiful. The interior design team incorporated a youthful lake house style with woven plaid and leather in various pops of color. They avoided tone on tone neutrals, opting for muddy blues and greens and rich orange and caramels and bringing on a fun, cozy feeling.
The redesign juxtaposes clean, simple, high end finishes with soft, functional furniture that doesn’t shy away from patterns and color.
