The building’s unique gable and shed roof forms give the building a mountain modern look. Rusty steel panels, bonderized metal and real stone veneer root the building in place and blend in with the surrounding environment. Steel brackets and glass railings add scale and texture to the whole facade, resulting in a building that creates a modern identity for the owners while remaining true to the surrounding context.
The interior design of the building reinforces a strong branding image for the company from exterior to interior. The lobby features a modern, linear fireplace, a 3-D bronze sculpture depicting a skier and a custom stained glass art-piece. The interior’s open feel is highlighted by a glass-railing stairway connecting the three primary office floors together while allowing light to permeate the entire layout. Repeated on each office floor are reclaimed slat walls that allow filtered light into the studio areas from a three-story atrium window. Custom furnishings including conference tables, studio desks, and executive office desks round out the design to create a holistic office environment.
The fourth floor is home to employee amenities including a full commercial kitchen, lounge and entertainment room, an 18-person conference room and employee gym. The conference room opens-up to a large outdoor deck, perfect for hosting investor events and employee parties.
Overall the Deer Park Headquarters is an intricately designed office space that integrates layers of detailing. The overall affect is a homey environment that accentuates and showcases the company’s values. With a promenade connecting the building to the ski gondola and a ground floor Italian bistro restaurant, Brick, employees relish their workspace at Deer Park. The commercial space has been featured in Steamboat Magazine, Office Properties Quarterly and Office Snapshots.
