Starbucks Goes Green This Holiday Season
Have you seen Starbucks’ new reclaimed shipping container coffee shop in Tukwila, Washington? This “reclamation drive-thru” was built using four shipping containers and was designed to LEED building standards.
Inhabitat is reporting that the inspiration came from “the company’s use of the containers to ship their coffee and tea from sources around the world.” Some of the green aspects of the building are “integrated rainwater harvesting and xeriscaping to minimize water consumption.”
