Stephanie Meeks will head the National Trust for Historic Preservation
This month, Colorado’s own Stephanie Meeks, will become the first woman to run the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Stephanie Meeks, 45, holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado and an MBA from George Washington University. Architectural historian Richard Longstreth believes that Meeks could possibly help bridge the gap between the historic preservation and conservation communities.
The National Trust for Historic Preservation was founded in 1949 and is a private nonprofit organization. Stephanie Meeks will be stepping into the position that was formerly held by Richard Moe, who is retiring after 17 years with the organization.
