After a long day on the slopes, ski right into your furture dream home.
Bringing Modern Luxury to the Slopes
The Astrid is a luxury ski-in, ski-out residential project in Steamboat Springs designed for those who live for skiing, snowboarding, winter sports and recreating outdoors. Located directly on Mount Werner, this slopeside development offers front-door ski access paired with the scale and comfort of single-family living. From the first chair to après-ski, The Astrid is designed to make it effortless to step outside and hit the slopes.
Vertical Arts approached the project as a rare opportunity to create residential-scale ski-in ski-out homes on a challenging alpine site. Built on a steep site with tight access, complex easements and a ski slope dropping nearly 50 feet through the property, the Vertical Arts team brainstormed how best to tackle these design challenges. Through careful site planning and iteration, the team transformed the site, making it a benchmark for luxury ski-in, ski-out living in Steamboat Springs.
At ground level, the Astrid is rich, inviting and functional.
The development plan combines a primary condo building with luxury single-level residences alongside 24 mountain modern townhomes designed as duplexes and triplexes. Each residence is carefully positioned to maximize views, access and privacy while delivering as many actual ski-in ski-out homes as possible. The result is residential options that are far beyond the typical ski condo experience.
Ski in Ski Out living has never been more luxurious and convenient.
Slopeside Living
Architecturally, The Astrid blends mountain modern design with highly functional winter living. Gabled forms define individual homes, while expansive window walls capture light and mountain views. Some units include a private two-car garage, ski mudroom, elevator access and oversized decks with hot tub space overlooking the slopes, features rarely found in slopeside developments but essential for outdoor enthusiasts.
A fun and modern interior with a bit of wimsy welcomes guests and residents alike.
A Fun & Elevated Interior
Inside, interiors are warm and refined, with natural materials like stone and wood, generous open layouts and spaces designed to recover, relax and gather after a day on the mountain. Thoughtful coordination between architecture, interiors and landscape ensures each residence lives like a custom home designed for year-round mountain life.
Bringing a new kind of alpine development to life, the Vertical Arts team is thrilled to see residents enjoy the luxury on-slope homes. Follow the project as it takes shape on our Instagram.
