Urban Street at the Mountain
Urban Street at the Mountain (USM) is a multifamily development located on the corner of Walton Creek Road and Owl Hoot Trail in Steamboat Springs, Colo. The neighborhood will consist of eight triplexes, 20 row houses, and two condominium buildings that will each have between 21 and 24 units. The three distinct housing styles intend to reach different demographics of our community and meet the wants and needs of those disparate groups.
The triplexes and row houses range in size from 1,800 to 2,500 square feet and include options for two-, three- and four-bedroom units with rooftop decks and ground-floor living that accommodate multi-generational needs. Each home features an attached two-car garage along with additional street parking.
Individual buildings will vary significantly with different roof forms and a modern look, coupled with traditional western materials — natural wood and timbers, and even some reclaimed wood and concrete surfaces. The rowhouses are fronted by short sidewalks with a small, fenced-in lawn large enough to keep a pet happy, and the three-story row houses will feature decks atop their flat roofs.
Throughout the development, sidewalks will connect to the main sidewalk along Owl Hoot Trail and to the sidewalk along Walton Creek Road, leading residents to the gondola square, Core Trail, Wildhorse Meadows and Central Park Plaza. Additionally, the development will feature a boardwalk through the wetlands on the south end of the property, continuing the sidewalk along Walton Creek Road as well as to adjacent properties.
The project’s goal is to provide ample space for young and active lifestyles while integrating design that accommodates for the lifestyle needs of residents in their legacy years. By focusing on energy-efficient and sustainable design, sufficient storage and main-level master living while capitalizing on the proximity to the Steamboat Ski Area, Core Trail, Casey’s Pond and Yampa River, the project meets multiple needs all at once.
Stay tuned as we break ground on our Urban Street project!
